A number of folk on this board read or used to read Anne McCaffrey's books about Pern, I'm one of them - imaginitive escapism I suppose!

Or it might be a love of Dragons, the mystique of fabled creatures. I loved, looking at old maps, the phrase "Here be Dragons", it stirred up the imagination.

And of course for some, Dragons are real......................

My Buddhist name is Shunryu, which, I'm told, means "Spring Dragon". So I guess, I hope, this is my year. One out of twelve isn't bad.
