Sooo, at our house we each pulled a card on World Tarot Day and I got the 8 of Pentacles which, I suppose, means the studies and preparation continue! Well, that's a good directive.

In keeping with that, I opened an email from Llewellyn Publishers today, and there is a nifty article entitled, "Using Tarot to Open up consciousness." There are two meditations: the first you study/meditate on one of the Major Arcana cards (one card a week; the meditation is one day) over the span of half a year. It's a five minute exercise. In the second you draw a three-card spread from the Minor Arcana to support your work with the Major Arcana card you are studying.

I think it sounds like a useful tool on so many levels and an exercise that can fit into a busy day. I'm not plugging, but here's the link:

http://www.llewellyn.com/journal/article/2001

I'm going to try it out. I've had tarot cards since I was 13 but sadly my familiarity with them has fallen off with time and tide. Won't get to be Helen (marvelous interpreter!) but I could do better!
