Emotional Poem

Emotional Poem

PostAuthor: Hazel » Thu Jan 19, 2012 11:59 am

A Day At A Time

What ever problems you face,
Just live each day at a time,
There's only tomorrow you can change,
Yesterday is over and done,
With the choices you make this day,
Theres no need to live life at a fast pace,
Trust in your self you'll be fine,
What ever decissions you arrange.
Will effect your future outcome.

Take a look all around,
See the goodness in our life,
The love of family freely given,
The beauty of nature,
Let go of bad memories that hold to the past,
Think of all the good things that truly abound,
Why keep ideals that cause such strife,
Love your-self and others then feel forgiven,
Now let the future mature,
In this light thats sure to last.

I wrote this for my Husband who's going through a bad patch at the moment, everything in his life feels as if its contriving against him, I know its not brilliant but I thought I'd share it with you all. ( and see what you think)

Hazel, it's absolutely wonderful and so true!!! I always have a hard time in January for a number of reasons, trying to deal with my still difficult ex and arranging times to be with my son are just a couple of those reasons. It is very easy to sink in January so I deliberately spent the other day thinking and "counting my blessings" to make myself realise that there is some good in January too. I think your poem deals with the major points that we have to try and remember when we feel like everything is against us. I'm sure your husband appreciated it and the fact that you have given a little bit (more) of yourself to him.

Love it!
May your summers and winters be short, springs be mild and autumn reaping plentiful.
