Bernie,
Unshackled by a frail body, your soul will stride through woods and glades of the Summerlands; I hope the Lord and Lady will welcome you on your new journey.

Thanks for your wisdom, thanks for your friendship.
Blessed Be!

I know each of us may remember Bernie in our own way privately, but I'd like to suggest that at the next full Moon (Sunday, June 11th) we as a group offer our thanks to the Lords of the Nature for Bernie's gentle gifts to this website.

I honestly believe that the part of Bernie that survives would be aware a requiem, taking place around the planet. We are on three continents at this website.

Good journeys Bernie...

As River said I learnt much about the waning phase of life from reading Bernie's posts.

I'll be there

Do you think, just this once, we should try to have a common element between us all? I don't know, maybe all agree the same wording of something, the same incense, something like that? Could we all decorate our altar/stang/whatever with whatever Oak might be native where we are, or acorns, as that was Bernie's tree? Just something physical that would link us all across the space and time? What do we all think? I know it's not necessary, but it might be nice?

good idea, but better make it very basic, cos some things arent available everywhere- oaks arent native to Australia, but we have some pretty magnificent other big trees! We have something we call Tas Oak, which isn't really an oak... I might try & plant one somewhere that night! somewhere in the bush, cos he liked to go wandering in the bush to "his" tree, didn't he?

Well, what I have in mind is to print out this page & cut our comments into individual strips, then run a red thread through them with some oak leaves, to make a streamer to hang outdoors as part of my full moon rite. And also offer bread & wine to the earth &/or underworld spirits in Bernie's memory. No circle casting required. All done outdoors bcs that goes with Bernie too. If it rains, I'll work indoors and then carry the streamer and libations outdoors afterwards.
