I've been up to my neck in all sorts of jobs recently that I've neglected my friends here. Sorry Guys! I've noticed Tylluan has been keeping things going with most of the facts- thank you my Lady. I thought it appropriate to post on the date of the Summer Solstice - which actually occurs this year on June 21, at 17:16 UTC - for the nerds among us (me!).

Normally I go and climb a hill and watch the sun rise (today, here, it was 4.24 !!!) but there have been heavy clouds and last night was a late one for me - even so I am beginning to regret not making the effort.

Today is officially the first day of summer. It is also referred to as Midsummer because it is roughly the middle of the growing season throughout much of Europe.

Blessings to you all.

B.B.
